Verizon Iphone

I know this is old news, this is more of a rant. Wall Street Journal yesterday that the Iphone is coming to Verizon. They have since retracted yesterday's story and replace it with this one. Basically what I am pissed about is that the WSJ is supposedly a legitimate news outlet and they basically ran the story like it was true. The story was a rumor! WSJ stated "sources" and "people in high places". Come on!!! I know it's a slow news day but why get people hopes up??!! I mean I can report I heard from my sources that aliens are coming soon to eat your children. What kind of integity is that? Its utter bull$hit!!!!

Hot Laps

Ok, I never thought this was a syndrome that can lead to cancer in some cases... I've used my laptop on my lap ever now and then - and I have gotten my laps really red. I would look at it and think it's not that bad. The redness usually goes away after a day or two. Well according to this study, it even has a name - Toasted Skin Syndrome.

NO MORE courtesy flush...

The last time I heard going number 2 was hazardous to your health was the scene from above when Danny Glover's character, Sergeant Roger Murtaugh sat on his toilet and it trigger a bomb in the movie Lethal Weapon 2. So watching television yesterday, I find out going number CAN be dangerous. The show, Urban Legend, claims this story to be true.

In 1986, on the cruise ship named Pegasus, passengers Dr. Brendan Wynne and his wife Patricia Wynne noticed that the toilets were making loud, mechanical sounds when flushed - almost like a sucking sound. This was caused by the ship's state of the art suction pumping system in with a powerful vacuum.

The ship was docked in Vancouver, British Columbia when the announcement came on asking for doctors. Dr. Wynne and his wife Patricia, a registered nurse, went the the front desk and were escorted to Mrs. Helen Larson's cabin.

In the cabin, Helen was lying on her side on her side in her bunk with her husband calmly trying to comfort her. Dr. Wynne and Patricia said what they saw that day it still shocks them today thinking about it. Dr. Wynne walks over and slowly lifts up the blanket and saw about ten to twelve feet of small intestine lying behind her!! The intestine was still attached to Helen and Dr. Wynne quickly assessed that she is going in shocked and rushes her quickly to the hospital where they successfully put her bowel back in place. They later learned that Helen had gone to use the toilet and the flushing of the toilet, while she was still sitting on the toilet, had sucked out her intestines.

Aftermath - "Tornado" in New York

Yesterday a monster storm ripped through New York City Thursday evening, killing one person, snapping mighty trees, and flipping tractor-trailers like toys. At around 5:20 PM, the storm came with torrential rain, hail the size of nickels, and 100 mph winds. There was even when the storm hit tornado warnings.

You can read more here. Below are some pictures I took around the neighborhood.
First Video - home made from Brooklyn, check out the tree at the end.
Second Video - Security camera, check out the lady with baby carriage.
